Exquisite, hand-spun silk wrap scarf made by village artisans in
India, using the finest natural fibers and materials. Iridescent hues of ivory, beige, and blue. Light, breathable silk material and a generous size for a
variety of wearing options. Lovely 2 in. (5 cm.) fringe on short ends.
This scarf is produced by weavers under fair trade conditions. Fair
trade is a social movement to bring about equality among the vastly
diverse worlds of the developing and underdeveloped economies. Fair
Trade relationships take account of all costs of production, both
direct and indirect, including the safeguarding of natural resources
and meeting future investment needs. The artistic traditions behind
these products stem from indigenous cultures which value the earth's
resources and also value the discipline and wisdom inherent in these
traditions.
