Delightful sterling silver tulip necklace hand made by Turkish
artisans. The tulip is a native of Central Asia and Turkey and in the
16th century was brought to Holland, where it became widely popular.
During the time between 1718 - 1730, the tulip became a symbol of
'peace' and 'serenity'. Today, the tulip has been cultivated into the
daily life of the Turkish culture and can be found in textile
embroidery, art and jewelery. Beautifully presented on a 24 inch black
grosgrain ribbon.
