Lovely sterling silver tulip earrings hand made by Turkish artisans
following centuries old traditions. The tulip is a native of Central
Asia and Turkey and in the 16th century was brought to Holland, where
it became widely popular. During the time between 1718 - 1730, the
tulip became a symbol of 'peace' and 'serenity'. Today, the tulip has
been cultivated into the daily life of the Turkish culture and can be
found in textile embroidery, art and jewelry.
